MDM/MDME-125T-XE-S

The MicroTesla Digitized Module and Digitized Module with Expansion “S” instruments use the SiFlex 2 MEMS accelerometers. The SiFlex2 accelerometer has proven to be extremely durable under the harshest possible drilling conditions, Air drilling. These tools have near quartz accelerometer accuracy up to 125 degrees C.

The improved electronics and firmware designed and tested in the HDD/Utility Boring HR wireline steering tool application has been revised and improved, and incorporated into the standard MicroTesla Digitized Module (MDM) for use in MWD applications. This enhanced magnetic sensing capability will provide customers with the ability to develop new algorithms for improved survey accuracy, passive magnetic ranging for trajectory control and early intersection, and near well bore magnetic proximity detection.

MDME175T-XE

The MicroTesla Digitized Module with Expansion Slot is specifically designed for MWD applications. It combines MicroTesla’s newest MDM instrument with customer-provided MWD controller boards. The MDME uses the XE chassis and has pass-through wires. The environmental board includes a 3-axis shock and vibration sensor, and dedicated memory for use by the customer.

1” MDM175T-XE

The MicroTesla 1” MDM is now offered in an XE Chassis. This revision provides superior instrument accuracy and the full MDM functionality in a near 1” OD. The 1” MDM can be built with either quartz accelerometers or with the SiFlex2 MEMS accelerometers for use in low-temperature, harsh, and/or air drilling environments.

MDS175T

The MicroTesla Digitized Sensor provides a basic, digitized directional measurement. All (4) boards have been revised to improve the sensor reliability. The sensor is designed for direct connection to a microprocessor-based data acquisition system via dedicated serial interface connections.

MDS125T-HR / MSM125-HR

MicroTesla has modified the standard MDS directional instrument and the standard MSM steering module so that the magnetic resolution is improved by 400%. When used in conjunction with the True-Gyde software the high-sensitivity wireline steering system can detect Utility or River Crossing coil magnetic fields much farther away than was previously possible.

The MicroTesla High-Temp Analog surface mount Sensor is the newest version of our analog sensor. In addition to MicroTesla’s proprietary magnetometer technology, the HT MASS uses upgraded surface mount circuit boards. These new boards are mounted to the chassis using the Ulti-Pak method for improved shock and vibration, and thermal performance.

The MicroTesla Inclinometer Near Bit (INB) has been revised and improved, taking advantage of the latest advances in the SiFlex2 device, the associated electronic circuits, and continual upgrades to the MicroTesla proprietary Calibration System. We can now provide inclination accuracy that closely approaches quartz accelerometers.
